Recently, it was back to school for Dan and Chris as they went to Allentown, Pennsylvania, for three days of advanced training at the Micro Matic Dispense Institute. Hands-on instruction in a small group environment with knowledgeable and experienced trainers was a key benefit of dispense specialist training.
There were several components to the course, servicing draft systems is one. When servicing a draft system, Chris knows 90 percent of trouble calls in the retail environment are temperature related. During dispense training, Chris’s #1 tool was a thermometer in a glass of beer. Funny how temperature is also the first thing checked on our physical exams–except with draft beer we’re looking for 38F and not 98!
Overall, it was a successful trip for Dan and Chris! It will allow us to be able to better serve our customers and we will continue to learn all we can and new and better methods for delivering the freshest beer.
